【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofflexuralpropertiesofunreinforcedandreinforcedplastics,includinghigh-moduluscompositesandelectricalinsulatingmaterialsintheformofrectangularbarsmoldeddirectlyorcutfromsheets,plates,ormoldedshapes.Thesetestmethodsaregenerallyapplicabletorigidandsemirigidmaterials.However,flexuralstrengthcannotbedeterminedforthosematerialsthatdonotbreakorthatdonotfailintheouterfibers.Thistestmethodutilizesafourpointloadingsystemappliedtoasimplysupportedbeam.Thistestmethodmaybeusedwithtwoprocedures:ProcedureA,designedprincipallyformaterialsthatbreakatcomparativelysmalldeflections.ProcedureB,designedparticularlyforthosematerialsthatundergolargedeflectionsduringtesting.ProcedureAshallbeusedformeasurementofflexuralproperties,particularlyflexuralmodulus,unlessthematerialspecificationstatesotherwise.ProcedureBmaybeusedformeasurementofflexuralstrength.Comparativetestsmayberunaccordingtoeitherprocedure,providedthattheprocedureisfoundsatisfactoryforthematerialbeingtested.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesprovidedinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1-Thistestmethodisequivalentto,butnotidenticaltoISO14125(MethodB).
